I've been doing some weekend studio sessions with my friends Joey and Bonnie to go over Figma. We're teaching people of various skill levels. The one element people are keen on is understanding auto layout. It's a very powerful feature. I discovered that one thing people often don't realize is the ordering of layers in auto layout. Most traditional design tools rank layer from top-to-bottom, whereas in Figma's auto layout it's inverse. This is similar to how layout works in programming. I created a sketch in Notability to help convey this.
